Construction Timber

Timber is wood that has been processed into beams and planks, a stage in the process of wood production. Lumber may be supplied either rough-sawn, or surfaced on one or more of its faces.

Pallets

A pallet is a flat transport structure that supports goods in a stable fashion. A pallet is the structural foundation of a unit load which allows handling and storage efficiencies.

Woodchips

Woodchips are a medium-sized solid material made by cutting, or chipping, larger pieces of wood. Woodchips may be used as a biomass solid fuel and are raw material for producing wood pulp.

Final products

Wood products serves public and private sector customers, such as construction companies, merchandisers and retailers. Flooring board. Parquet board. Terrace board. Molded board.

Baltijos medienos grupe is a Lithuanian company, which focuses on importing and exporting timber of various types, operating both in the Lithuanian and European markets.

Our species of wood

On your order, our company can supply the following species of timber

Siberian larch

Russian larch, is a frost-hardy tree native to western Russia. It is a medium-size to large deciduous coniferous tree reaching 20-50 m tall, with a trunk up to 1 m diameter. Because of its rot resistance, larch wood is especially valuable for posts, poles, railroad tie sleepers, mine props.

Scots pine

Pinus sylvestris is a species of pine that is native to Eurasia, ranging from Western Europe to Eastern Siberia. Heartwood is light reddish brown, demarcated sapwood is pale yellow to nearly white. Scots Pine is easy to work with both hand and machine tools. Glues and finishes well.

European Spruce

Picea abies is a species of spruce native to Northern, Central and Eastern Europe.[3] It typically grows to around 55 m (180 ft) tall, and bears needles 12–24 mm (0.47–0.94 in) long and cones 9–17 cm (3.5–6.7 in) long. Easy to work, as long as there are no knots present. Glues and finishes well.

European Aspen

Populus tremula is a species of poplar native to cool temperate regions of Europe and Asia. It is a substantial deciduous tree growing to 20 m (66 ft) tall by 10 m (33 ft) broad, with a trunk up to 1 m (3 ft) in diameter. Easy to work with hand and machine tools.

European Alder

European Alder tends to be a light tan to reddish brown. Tree Size: 65-80 ft (20-25 m) tall, 1-2 ft (.3-.6 m) trunk diameter. European Alder is very easy to work with both hand and machine tools; it sands especially easy. European Alder has excellent gluing, staining, and finishing properties.

Birch

Main area is Europe and southwest Asia. Tree Size: 65-100 ft (20-30 m) tall, 1-2 ft (.3-.6 m) trunk diameter. Generally easy to work with hand and machine tools. Turns, glues, and finishes well. Birch is one of the most widely used woods for veneer and plywood worldwide.
